Placed between the Brenta Dolomites, the Ortles Cevedale mountains and the Stelvio National Park. 130 km of torrents, 13 alpine lakes, 3 no-kill fishing areas for fly fishing, 3 Trophy fishing areas for artificial baits, 2 no kill Reserves for fly fishing by reservation (max 2 anglers per day), 1 tourist Reserve with seeding of large trout. Marble and Brown trout from repopulation by the ASPS hatchery of Cavizzana, as well as Artic Chars (alpine), are waiting to put you to the test.

Val di Sole, surrounded by spectacular mountain groups that include the Adamello Presanella, Ortles Cevedale, Brenta Dolomites and the Maddalene, is an area of rare natural beauty where all those who enjoy fishing can admire magnificent landscapes as they fish in over 120 km of rivers and streams and 20 mountain lakes that are filled with Marble and Brown Trout and Arctic Char.
In the Noce, Vermigliana, Meledrio and Rabbies streams and in the many lakes of the valley, fishing for rainbow, brown and marble trout plus precious Artic chars is a particularly pleasant experience.

AMATEUR FISHING PERMIT FOR TOURISTS
For all TOURISTS who would like to fish while in Trentino, an amateur fishing permit (free of charge) was created in 2012 that replaces a government license.
This permit can be issued in any one of the «Associazione Pescatori» (Fishing Associations) within the Province of Trento.
With this special tourist permit, which is valid for 30 days starting from the day it is issued and can only be requested once a year, it is possible to purchase the fishing permit for the area in which the tourist has chosen to fish.
The amateur fishing permit for foreign tourists that would like to fish in Val di Sole is issued at the:

WHERE TO FISH?
NOCE RIVER - SECTION A/AX - FROM MALÈ TO MOSTIZZOLO
This stretch of the Noce River has the best characteristics: natural and deep riverbed, abundant flow, deep holes, strong current, large boulders. The population is made up of wild fish with natural growth: marble and brown trout and a hybrid of the two species.
NOCE RIVER - SECTION B - FROM FUCINE TO MALÈ
This section has good characteristics: almost all natural riverbed, abundant flow, deep holes, strong current, large boulders. The population is made up of wild fish with natural growth: marble and brown trout and a hybrid of the two species.
NOCE RIVER - SECTION C1/C2 - FROM PEIO FONTI TO FUCINE
This section has good characteristics: low and clear water during the months of March, April, May and September. The population is made up of wild fish with natural growth: marble and brown trout and a hybrid of the two species.
NOCE BIANCO STREAM - SECTION D - COGOLO DI PEIO
From the bridge at the Pont hydroelectric plant to the confluence with the Val del Monte branch of the Noce stream.
VERMIGLIANA STREAM - SECTION E1/E2/E3 - VERMIGLIO
It has an abundant water flow, sometimes subject to floods, with torrential characteristics. An embankment has been built along several sections while the natural riverbed is embedded in the remaining sections. The stream is almost exclusively populated by brown trout, both natural and stocked trout . Brook trout can also sometimes be found in this area. The best months for fishing with artificial bait are March, April, May, June and September, while natural bait is recommended during the warmer months. The stream can be easily accessed from several points.
MELEDRIO STREAM - SECTION F1/F2 - DIMARO
Intact river bed, moderate – abundant flow, surrounded by a natural woodland area, water almost always clear makes this stream a true gem for fishing and for its natural landscape. Brown trout almost entirely populates this stream.
RABBIES STREAM - SECTION H1/H2 - RABBI
According to many, the Rabbiés is one of the best streams in Trentino. Natural riverbed, vegetated shores, clear water, not subject to flow fluctuations, the perfect environment for marble and brown trout. The area near the town if San Bernardo San Bernardo is a NO KILL fly fishing and mouse tail area and in certain areas fishing is banned.

PIAN PALÙ BASIN - SECTION I - VAL DI PEIO the entire lake surface, excluding the fishing ban area close to the dam
This large artificial reservoir, located 1.800 m is populated by both native trout and adult trout that are stocked into the lake: brown trout, rainbow trout, brook trout. A 15 minute walk from the Fontanin area located near the town of Peio Fonti will take you right to the lake. Fishing is banned in the areas opposite the dam and there are signs that clearly indicate these areas.
BARCO LAKE - SECTION L1 - VERMIGLIO the entire lake surface
A glacial lake at a height of 1.900 populated by native Arctic char. An enchanting lake thanks to its crystal clear waters and the forests that surround it, which can be reached with a 2 hour and a half walk from the location called Volpaia in Vermiglio.
DENZA LAKE - SECTION T - VERMIGLIO the entire lake surface
Near the Denza mountain hut that also has the same name, this lake, of glacial origin, is located at the foot of the Presanella at a height of 2.340 m a.s.l; populated by extremely leery Arctic Char.
CAPRIOLI LAKE - SECTION G - PELLIZZANO the entire lake surface
An artificial lake located at 1.300 m, stocked with rainbow and brown trout during the fishing season. Shallow clear water. The lake can be easily reached by car from the town of Pellizzano.
MEZZANA LAKES - SECTION O - MEZZANA the entire surface of the 2 small lakes
Two glacial lakes at a height of 2.000 m, inhabited by brown trout. Starting from Marilleva 1400, a 1 hour and a half walk will take you up to these two lovely mountain lakes.
ORTISÈ LAKE - SECTION R - MEZZANA the entire lake surface
A solitary yet lovely lake located at 2.450 m a.s.l., a 40 minute walk from the Malga Bronzolo alpine dairy. It’s a very deep lake with emerald green waters, populated by brown trout and Arctic char.
MAGHETTE LAKE - SECTION Q - CAMPO CARLO MAGNO the upper hydrographic are marked off by signs and the stream uphill
A beautiful lake at a height of 1.890 m a.s.l. surrounded by the Brenta Dolomites, a 1 hour walk from the road in Campo Carlo Magno. Fishing is allowed only with artificial bait and only in certain areas of the lake (see info charts on site), and it is populated with native brown trout.
SOPRASASSO LAKES - SECTION S - VAL DI RABBI Soprasasso, Rotondo, Quarto and Saleci lakes
A glacial lake at 2.240 m populated by Arctic char. The lake can be reached with a 3 hour walk with about 1200 m of elevation difference from the Valorz picnic area will take you up to the lake. A bivouac with a fireplace, which is always open, is located at the lake.
NO-KILL FISHING RESERVE
RNK1 - «LE MARINOLDE» - TORRENTE RABBIES (STREAM) - VAL DI RABBI
The RNK1 is located on the Rabbies Stream and is made up of 2separate section, as shown on the map. 2.5 km total. The lower section was closed to fishing from 1986 to 2015.Clear waters all year. Water holes and small cascades in a natural alpine setting of rare beauty.
RNK2 - «LA CALCARA» - TORRENTE MELEDRIO (STREAM) - DIMARO
The RNK2 is located on the Meledrio stream in Dimaro. From the Madonnina bridge to the electrical plant, lenght 2 km. Clear water all year and a clear river bottom. Brown Trout up to 1,5 kg. In September, as trout move upstream along the Noce River, good sized Marble and Brown Trout can be found here.
In zones RNK1 and RNK2 access is permitted for up 2 fishermen per day (no-kill technique with fly line and tenkara rod, 2 barbless hook and landing net), after obligatory booking (online or by phone at +39 328 4566771 - tue-sat from 9 am to 12 am). Cost per day for the permit: 35,00 €. Whoever fishes in this area can fish on the same day in any other waters (except RT zone) where similar no-kill practices are permitted. NK3 - TORRENTE VERMIGLIANA E3 (STREAM) - FUCINE
On the Vermigliana stream in Fucine, from the 4th dike upstream from the hydroelectric plant to the Fucine/Ossana bridge. Dedicated to fly fishing and tenkara rod. Catch-and-release fishing; 1 area accessible with one day permit at the cost of 18,00 €. Details about regulations printed in the permit on sale.
ZT1 - CAVIZZANA on the Noce river (1,4 km)
ZT2 - CUSIANO PELLIZZANO on the Noce river (1,4 km)
ZT3 - DIMARO MONCLASSICO on the Noce river (1,2 km)
Use of artificial fly and spinning baits with 1 single barbless hook, silicone and paste baits not allowed (onlyhard bait). Possibility of fishing 2 areas with the same day permit and also in all other waters (excluding no-kill areas) with the same start mode. You can keep one fish size > 50 cm and then stop fishing immediately. Exit ticket must be inserted into the boxes located in the areas. Check out the regulations printed on the permit.
RT - «SAN LEONARDO» TOURIST RESERVE - VERMIGLIO
The area, well marked by signs, is located on the Vermigliana stream, in the strech that runs close to small lake of Vermiglio, as per map. Lenght 1,2 km. The association guarantees the presence of Brown Trout from 1 to 3 kg in weight, with constant stock. The permit for 2 fishes can only be purchased at the 'Laghetti bar', 100 m from the reserve. Cost 28 € + 5 € deposit. All techniques involving natural and artificial baits, and barbless songle hook, are allowed. Open from 21 April to 30 September 2018 from 7.00 am to 8.00 pm.
