The only train that brings you directly to the slopes
Reaching the Ski Area Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta Val di Sole Val Rendena is incredibly easy thanks to the 8-passenger gondola lift with direct access from the Daolasa-Commezzadura local train station.
This ski area perfectly combines with the Trento-Malè-Mezzana railway, creating a truly unique, convenient and efficient "road-railway-lift" transportation system. The first to be created in all of Italy!
Now you can reach the ski slopes from the city without having to worry about traffic or parking or the problems of bad weather.
In the case of Daolasa, the point of exchange between the two transport entities has been planned and fitted out with every detail in mind, and has a uniform gradient between the two forms of transport. Ski deposit areas for ski equipment, snow-shoes, after-ski footwear and hand luggage is all available for customers arriving by train who may have need to change before going skiing.
In Trento the departure point for the Trento-Malé-Mezzana train is in the same train station as the state rail system. From an Eurocity directly to the local train "Trento-Malé-Mezzana" reaching the ski resorts of Val di Sole.
Throughout the winter, there are numerous trains with convenient schedules that allow you to reach the Val di Sole slopes free of charge on the Dolomiti Express. That’s because Funivie Folgarida Marilleva is offering a discount on the daily ski pass for Folgarida-Marilleva that is equivalent to the price of a return train ticket to all skiers who take the Dolomiti Express to come to Daolasa or Marilleva 900.
To promote use of the train parking at the Trento station of the Trento-Malè-Marilleva railway will also be free.
In Trento, the terminal of the Trento-Malè-Mezzana railway is just a few metres from the Trenitalia (Italian Rail) station: you simply alight from a high-speed train or Intercity, walk a few metres and board the Dolomiti Express.
This historical train line Trento-Malé began to run in 1909 in an era of social revival that pushed Trentino into the modern age. It was one of the first European train lines to use electricity. After a reconstruction in 1950, in May 2003 the extension of the rail line from Malé to Marilleva 900 was opened. Moreover in July 2016 the extension of the rail line from Marilleva 900 to Mezzana was opened.
