Built around 950 metres a.s.l. in the Sorti forestland on the terraced ridge between rio Rotian and rio Almazzago, on the Northern side of mount Spolverino, the artificial entity named Costa Rotian was born in 1973 as a tourist resort offering hotels, accommodation establishments and sports facilities.
 
During the top season (this is not permanently inhabited) it houses around 1000 people, which is more than the whole Commezzadura municipality! From Costa Rotian it is possible to climb up to the nearby Almazzago pasture shelter (malghetto) and up through Val Rotian to Folgarida.
