THE MAGIC OF ONE OF ITALY'S MOST BEAUTIFUL SKIES
The immensity of the starry night sky, the notes of a guitar, the warmth of friendship. Imagine enjoying this experience with the people you like to share your time and love for nature with. Imagine all this under one of the Most Beautiful Skies in Italy, in Ossana. That’s right, this certification, which aims to promote those place having a low percentage of light pollution, has so far been awarded by Astronomitaly to just 13 places in the whole of Italy and the picturesque village of Ossana is one of them! Ossana has gained this recognition thanks to two sites of interest: Malga del Doss and Valpiana. If you intend to do some stargazing, you cannot miss a visit!
Not far from Valpiana, a magical place for admiring the stars is Caprioli Lake, which can be reached from Valpiana in about an hour’s walk, from Pellizzano, in about 50 minutes on foot along the ‘Sentiero degli Gnomi’ or ‘Gnome Trail’ or in 10 minutes by car.
